when my bday rolls around i know it's almost time to go back to work. I know that teachers are extremely blessed to have the summer, especially when you have a child at home to spend the time together. with that said, it certainly is never easy going back.
typically i set very lofty goals for the summer...expecting the get tons of things done and then i'm disappointed when i don't finish everything i wanted to do.
this summer i had two goals: 1. spend as much time with landon as possible enjoying every minute no matter what we were doing (even if it meant spending HOURS on the elevator :-) ) 2. get Landon's Love up and going and have at least one Landon's Love party to get the word out.
I am pleased to say that both of my goals exceeded my expectation. i have enjoyed all of the time landon and i have had together...my stomach sinks each time i think about having to go back to work, but i know that the routine will be good for everyone, especially landon. in regards to Landon's Love, by the time i return to school we will have had 5 Landon's Love parties! In addition, we have received several out-of-state orders thanks to the amazing Gorsegner family (thanks you guys...we miss and love you).
i know that going back to work will be hard in many ways, but i am so pleased and thankful for the success that Landon's Love has had so far and i feel certain that it will keep growing. it has been wonderful to have the time to dedicate to a cause that we feel so passionate about.
my hope is that my next blog entrance will be an introduction to landonslove.com; it seems we're getting close to being ready to "publish" it.
